This article applies to the following ScreenBeam products:
ScreenBeam 1100 Plus features an HDMI Input for Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) users to share content using a traditional HDMI cable if preferred.
If you're experiencing issues with the HDMI ingest where the screen flickers or a black screen with yellow spinning circle is seen occasionally, please upgrade your receiver to version 11.1.13.8 (or later).
If the issue persists, and your device is either a:
- Windows PC with AMD Processor/Radeon graphics
- MacOS (MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro) with USB-C ports and certain non-Apple branded USB-C to HDMI adapters
then it's likely HDCP support is required to resolve the issue. You can enable HDCP 2.x from the Advanced Settings tab in the Local Management Interface (LMI) or CMS Enterprise. Refer to the attached article to access the Advanced Settings tab in the LMI.
If ScreenBeam is connected to a UC Rooms solution, such as a Logitech Tap or Rally Bar, then HDCP may not be supported on those devices. The suggested resolution is as follows:
- For Windows with AMD Radeon graphic, disable HDCP in the Radeon software configuration
- For MacOS with USB-C port, use the Apple branded USB-C to HDMI adapter
