Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What are the primary considerations for adding CMS Enterprise to my ScreenBeam 960 / 750 deployment?
If your organization requires multi-user concurrent admin support with role-based access control CMS Enterprise is a strong consideration. However, ScreenBeam encourages customers considering a CMS Enterprise subscription to consider upgrading your ScreenBeam deployment to our 1000 or higher series of solutions, which include CMS Enterprise at no additional cost.
Your organization has deployed a large number of ScreenBeam devices and is in the process of upgrading to 1xxx or higher devices over a duration of time. A CMS Enterprise subscription is likely a very high value in this instance, as your organization will be able to manage all of your ScreenBeam deployment through a single CMS and gain all the benefits of CMSE.
How are the subscriptions managed?
CMS Enterprise is purchased through one of our ScreenBeam Elite partners. For assistance please contact us, and a ScreenBeam associate will be happy to work with you.
What’s the difference between a Standard and an Add-on license?
When you purchase CMSE licenses it is strongly recommended that you purchase enough to cover all of your SBWD750 and SBWD960A/B devices. The license key will be sent via digital delivery to your email. Once the key is copied into your CMSE, the server will automatically enroll your SBWD750 and SBWD960A/B devices. NOTE: THE SERVER AUTOMATICALLY CHOOSES DEVICES TO ENROLL, IF YOU ARE SHORT ON YOUR LICENSES SOME DEVICES WILL BE VIEWABLE, BUT UNMANAGABLE. An “Add-on” license option is available if needed. Note the anniversary date will not change, your CMSE will always have its original anniversary date.
When do I need to renew / purchase renewal subscription?
The renewal subscription is not automatic, it must be purchased, and the key applied prior to your CMSE anniversary date. ScreenBeam strongly suggests you review the number of renewal licenses needed prior to purchase. NOTE: CMSE IS INCLUDED FREE OF CHARGE FOR ALL SBWD1XXX AND HIGHER DEVICES. IF YOU HAVE UPGRADED OR REFRESHED 750/960 DEVICES AND THEY ARE NO LONGER IN USE, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF RENEWAL LICENSES NEEDED.
Are CMSE licenses / subscriptions refundable?
No. Please be sure to purchase the appropriate number of licenses needed.
